On 21 of may, 2017, Catalunya Cricket Federation organizes a trial for the Catalunya U-19 team. More then 50 juniors from 9 different junior clubs came to the trial. For your information, Catalunya cricket federation is organizing a junior cricket league. 9 Team is competing for the title.
Trial session was observed by 3 selector from the federation who were Farooq Ahmed, Mohsin Khan and Rana Nadeem. After 4 hours of contiunous trial in the Montjuic cricket net, selectors decided to select 39 players for the first face. Coach and selectors will observe these 39 players who are nominated for the second phase when the number will be trimmed to just 25.
Currently, all nine clubs in the Catalunya Junior league have members under consideration for the under-19 squad. The teams involved are Badalona, Ali Youngstar, Badalona Shaheen, Sant Andreu, Raval Sporting, Pak I Care, Friends XI and Girona Warriors. Apart from that 1 player from Catalunya are also nominated for the phase two.
