After passing all caotic issues of election of Catalunya Cricket Federation, finally started "La Liga Catalana de Cricket 2017" y "La Liga Catalana de Cricket 2017 Junior". Till now the most amount of team participating in this cricket league. There are 32 adult team in Barcelona (24) and Girona (8) region and also highest 8 junior teams participating in this league.
Innauguration of the catalunya cricket league 2017 held on 16th April 2017 at Campo municipal de beisbol of Montjuic. Openning day there was 2 matches played between Raval Sporting Cricket Club vs Badalona Shaheen Cricket Club and 2nd match was between two junior team Pak I Care brothers Cricket Club vs Ali Youngstars Cricket Club.
32 teams of the league participating in 4 different groups. 1 group is for the club of girona region and 3 for barcelona region. 2 teams from each group will go through to the quarter final and they will fight for the title. In the AGM of the federation, board member decided to start division system from the next season which will be organized depending on the results of 2017 league. First four team of each group will be in 1st division and rest of the teams will participate in the 2nd division.
As there are only 8 teams in junior league, thats why there is no grouping systems. All team will play against each other once and top team at the end of the league will be the champion of catalunya junior league competition.
